Hello everybody and everyone, I haven't been as frequent with my posting lately, though I have been meaning to post many different things. That's just how things go sometimes, like it or not. Sadly I will also be gone for a week without internet access so there will not be any posts next week either, since I will be relaxing in Northern Wisconsin, kayaking around our small lake, snorkeling and hopefully getting some writing done. And even when I do not have the time to write things down, I never stop thinking of fantastical ideas and stories. So those of you, if there are any, don't despair I've got some wondrous ideas rolling about, I just need to take the time to get them out. I need to take the time to lower the bucket into the well and see what cool water lays at the bottom. I've got to be Tom Thumb and find what lies down there.
I was thinking earlier: what better way to celebrate Independence Day than by writing out a few words, for even a few words is a wonderful way to express our freedom of speech. I'm thankful I have this blog and the ability to say what sometimes occurs to me. Here's some music to go with, complete with many examples of dancing, I hope you enjoy.

Thoughts while Kayaking
I really like to kayak because it has a great rhythm to it: right, left, right left right, left-hold, right ad infinitum. I like how the paddle is double bladed, balanced. I like the ease of cutting through the water, like a knife through butter, it feels so natural.
So I squiggled through the water like a doodle from a pencil, eventually ending up in the middle of the lake and looked around, I saw the panoramic view of the trees encircling the lake. Looking around in this fashion made me wonder where does it end and where does it begin? And in this same train of thought - are circles infinite? There's no visible start or stop.
I also thought about how kayaking is nice as no matter how many times you go out on the same body of water, that body of water will still be new and different. The wind changes, waves change, lily pad formations change, the sky is never quite the same either.
And looking at the sky made me think of Bob Ross and how he paints clouds and landscapes. He layers them, just like in nature. If you look at the sky on a good day you can see a multitude of different cloud layers; straight flat ones that span the entirety of the sky practically, then on top fluffy cumulus ones that move on top of the flat back drop behind them. Scenes are enacted as you watch, space battle cruisers approaching the front lines, dinosaur herds migrating to a new place to graze. Whatever your imagination comes up with. Isn't it amazing how these random floating bits of water come together to form familiar or exotic shapes then depart again? This is another type of infinity, yeah? breaking up then coming together on and on and on. A kind of symmetry that seems just right.

Back from Vacation
Wow, where the heck did August disappear to? I just got back from vacation in the north woods of Wisconsin, where much Kayaking was done, golf was played, books read, and general relaxation had(if I have never made a point of it, I enjoy making use of the passive tense).
A lot has happened this summer.
sometimes the things that happened were little things, like tonight I was coming back from the library and I had to cut through the woods and I realized that sometimes I get really scared of the dark. It really freaked me out for some reason. Ah well it happens, its probably good to be scared every once in awhile.
There's only a few days left in August but I am going to try my hardest to even up my posting. So be ready! Things will happen!
yes
things.
They
Will
Happen.
This I am sure of.
